And I’m talking big, big, big.

He comes home on leave on Monday and I have no ideas!  Help!

Oh god.  We’ve accumulated quite the array of  nicknames and not all of them are kid friendly.

He calls me:

Dooooing, Schmoopy, Kay-Kay, Kay-Kay-Noooners, Kay-Kay-Boonies, Boonies, Noonies, Nooners, Bitch (these sound terrible, but he calls me bitch, I call him cunt, it’s a thing we do that is in no way actual verbal abuse, lol), Kayra, and cunt nugget.

I call him:

Nicorash, Nicko, Doing, Noonies, Boonies, Toonies, Cartoonies, Cunt, Idioten, DOUBLE FUCKER!, and last but not least, Captain America or Cap for short. 

They’re obviously superior.

The tattoo I want to get? 

I was thinking a pin up.  Because let’s face it, classic? Right?

And then I thought, well, I’d really like to get an army tattoo for support too.

But, I’ve looked through thousands of pin up girls in camo.  Most of them sucked.  Hell, like ninety percent sucked. 

And I think I want to do her laying down and her legs crossed.

Nick’s airborne. 

She should be in a parachute, naked, with just boots and dog tags on.

I am a fucking genius.

Wow.  Okay, so Nick really goes over the top with presents.  

I mean, my puppies are up there.  Initially I would have said them.  

But, this house he bought me.  This house he let me pick out.  I just….

I love my house, it the most precious thing he could have ever done for me.  He knew we wouldn’t be able to live together for a long time and wanted me to be comfortable and safe and as happy as I could be without him. 

It was built in 1910 and it’s a huge colonial style with a big front porch complete with a cute little swing.  It’s adjacent to the town park and we have a huge corner lot, with a fire pit in the backyard and a little building where I put my plants.  There are great big pine trees back there and like 100 yards from the town pool.

It has a screened in back porch that’s sunny all day.  

I have a huge built-in in my dining room that holds all of my fine China dishes. 

It’s just old and beautiful and warm and homey and everything that I’ve ever wanted in a house.  It’s my dream home.  

If he re-enlists this will be the most difficult thing to turn away from.  Because this house would be perfect to have kids in.  If I can even have kids.  

But, I love this big beautiful bitch more with each day. 

When we were “friends”, and by that I mean, when I had a huge crush on him and he was oblivious, we would have movie nights where we would snuggle on the couch and eat junk food. 

I was head over heels for this kid. 

So, the one night we were snuggling on the couch, as per usual, and somehow we ended up spooning.  And then playing footsie.  And then he brushed my hair behind my ear and just stopped watching the movie all together.

Now, he says that I leaned over and kissed him, I say he leaned over and kissed me.  But regardless, we kissed, and it was the most passionate kiss I had ever had, and it was amazing.  The movie was then forgotten. 

It was after we were together for two years.  It was Christmas Eve, and the whole house was asleep.  

We were young, I think 19 or 20, but we just fit really well together, you know?  This sounds cheesy, but I really think we’re soul mates.  We’ve been together for almost eight years and I still think that. 

He got down on one knee, next to the Christmas tree and told me how beautiful I was, and how he wanted me to walk beside him forever.

It was sweet, and not a big ordeal, and perfect.

We had discussed the engagement ring, so he had a lot of coaching on that.

My engagement ring is white gold, with a princess cut diamond in the center and two pink sapphires on either side of that.  

It’s beautiful.  It was all very beautiful and private and sweet.
